Cleaning the highly complex anatomy of a root canal system can sometimes present a challenge in root canal therapy.
The Gentle Wave is an enhanced irrigation system that is sometimes used in addition to or as an alternative to conventional root canal therapy. This technique allows treatment fluids to reach areas that may be difficult to clean with conventional treatment alone, thus allowing optimal disinfection of the root canal system. Dr. Cain and Dr. Carr have been trained and certified in this treatment technique. However, there are certain conditions where using the Gentle Wave would not be recommended, so not every tooth will qualify for this treatment. Because of this we require a pre-operative 3D scan of the proposed tooth to determine if the tooth is a candidate for this method of treatment.
